Become a trustee at the Achieve and Learn Trust.
We are a small, local academy trust in south Manchester.
Our trustees play a crucial role in the effective governance of our trust. It's important to them that their work results in the best possible education and experiences for our young people.
We are keen to attract trustees who desire to make a difference to the young people in our schools. You don't need any specific qualifications or to be a parent to become a trustee, as we welcome professionals who offer a variety of skills, experiences, qualifications and perspectives. However, to be eligible to volunteer within a trust you need:
- the time to contribute
- to be aged 18 or over
- not to be disqualified under the relevant rules and procedures
Above all, we look for people whose values align with our own. The schools in our trust value and celebrate diversity and our board of trustees is equally diverse, reflecting the communities that we serve.
Benefits of being a trustee
- Improve the lives of young people in your community.
- Enhance your skills, both professionally and personally.
- Work together with others who have similar passions and goals.
- Apply your skills and experience to make a meaningful contribution and provide a different perspective.
Being a trustee of a multi-academy trust is a significant responsibility, but a hugely rewarding one.
